The amicable, well-travelled and God fearing Dr.(Mrs) N.B Ola (nee Osemwegie) hails from Oredo LGA of Benin, Edo State. She was born to the family of Pa and Ma Osemwegie on the 6th of October and is the second sibling of six. She is happily married to Dr Christopher Ola, with two wonderful children. She is a devoted Christian by all standards.

She commenced her schooling at St. James Anglican, Benin City and proceeded to St. Annes school in Ibadan for her secondary education. She bagged the Bachelor of Medicine: Bachelor of Surgery from the Great Ife (Oba Awolowo University) and has since then been involved in numerous continual medical educational programmes with certificates, diplomas and professional experience as proof.

She was awarded the meritorious National Merit Award for an outstanding performance and participation during her NYSC days. She was also given the award of honour in recognition of mentorship to medical women and community from the Medical Women Association of Nigeria.

Her tremendous effort in the establishment and smooth running of the now defunct Sickle Cell Club of Adeoyo Hospital, Ring Road, Ibadan was recognised by many other professionals. She was a praise worthy medical officer, who lead a team that provided care, solace and hope to sickle cell patients. It is noteworthy that this brainchild of hers has then materialized into a non-profit organisation ‘club Hb’, a subsidiary of Chrisbo Medical Centre which renders free medical services to sickle cell patients.

Dr (Mrs) Ola is an epitome of professional experience and diligence as evidence by her current position as the Chief Consultant Anaesthesiologist at Adeoyo Maternity Hospital, having started at the lowest position as a medical officer. She also doubles as the Medical Director of Chrisbo Medical Centre, a private practise she co-founded with her husband. It has been rendering its professional services in a community-friendly manner, so much so that no matter where the hospital relocates to, her clients will follow suit even among its supposed equal. Chrisbo Medical Centre serves as a referral centre.

In her spare time, Dr. Ola enjoys cooking, travelling, meeting new people, reading novels and watching sitcoms/dramas.

Without further ado, Rotarians and visitors, I give you Dr. (Mrs) N.B Ola.
